Who Are We?

Meet the Man Behind Mathura

Our Chef Patron is Michelin Starred Chef Atul Kochhar. He’s an international and UK nationwide TV personality– you might have spotted him on Saturday Kitchen, James Martin’s Saturday Morning, Million Pound Menu and Master Chef. He is also an Ambassador to British Asian Trust and the One Family Foundation.

We are trying to do something different at Mathura and push the boundaries of modern Indian fine dining, something that hasn’t happened before. Come and delight in our sensory explosion where heritage and innovation meet to create a depth of flavour.

Mathura showcases and unites the essence and flavour of glorious India and its neighbouring countries – Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, China and Myanmar (Burma).

Yet again, Atul Kochhar revolutionises our Indian fine dining experience. Combining inspiration, key ingredients, and various methods of cooking from all nine countries, Kochhar successively blends his contemporary creations with India’s spices and heritage. His innovative balance of flavours from a diverse landscape will awaken your senses.

Located in a beautiful building created in 1906 as Westminster Fire Station,
Mathura honours the old and blends it with the new. Let the story unfold…
